Matt1: Keye Luke was a busy actor

Rush: AH!

Rush: I see!

Mike n Rachel in DC: Really got around in smaller parts.

hounder: back

Rush: Very good, hounder!

Rush: Fast walk!

Mike n Rachel in DC: WB, hounder

Rush: If I seem to leave before everyone is out of our Chat Room, the reason is that I try to highlight and copy the full running text as fast as I can!

Mike n Rachel in DC: Isn’t the “car goes off the cliff in flames” supposed to be at the end of the episode?

Matt1: Poor Pop, lol

Nothere: 🙂

Mike n Rachel in DC: Charlie need Dramamine.

Nothere: First and last time Charlie gets seasick.

Mike n Rachel in DC: Teaching, Louise?

fredsmom: love the old bayer aspirin bottle

Louise: Aspirin product placement

Mike n Rachel in DC: Wasn’t she the gal who got murdered?

Phil and Mrs Phil: No, she was the killer.

Nothere: Hotel owner Ithink.

Louise: Missed that Rush!!!

Rush: (Please don’t count my TYPOS tonight!

Mike n Rachel in DC: Wonder what Bayer paid for that?

Rush: I am on a record pace!

Nothere: And Lee you can flirt, but don’t lock anymore women in cages. Sets a bad family precedence.

Phil and Mrs Phil: What time do you have Rush?

Rush: “Like a bass drum in a Harlem band…”

Mike n Rachel in DC: Lee gives her Brand X aspirin no doubt

Phil and Mrs Phil: She was a blonde in Reno

Dona: Yes hounder, I have been known to bring an extra suite case just for that

Rush: It is safe to conjecture that Lee and Pop are heading home after the Olympics and a brief trip through Europe…where Lee picked up his “souvenirs!

Mike n Rachel in DC: …and apparently misses a clue, yes? If she had the bottle of Bayer on her dresser, why did she need aspirin from Lee?

Matt1: HH!

Nothere: Well I hit the wrong button, so I’m a bit ahead Phil but I’ve got 1030

Mike n Rachel in DC: He’s a favorite.

Phil and Mrs Phil: Thanks NT. I’m at 940

Rush: This is my favorite Harold Huber role.

Phil and Mrs Phil: Yes Rush, he does a great job in this role.

Nothere: And the man with the turban arrives.

Rush: I have…10:10….

Mike n Rachel in DC: It’s not quite as over-the-top as his “French” characters.

Rush: That would be 40-plus wives.

Louise: Foxy fur

Nothere: Mon Deu but he played Poriot on the radio

Rush: 10:40…

Rush: Billie Bronson….

Phil and Mrs Phil: Yeah, I’m good. Thanks.

Rush: “Chinatown, My Chinatown….”

Nothere: Well they did. But several have gone missing lately.

Rush: Popular hotel!

Dona: lol

fredsmom: haha to Mike n Rachel

Rush: I think that Pop has cured Lee of the towel collecting habit!

Nothere: Speed you muerderer. Stop trying to kill Billie with that second hand smoke

Rush: 🙂

Rush: (cough)

Phil and Mrs Phil: Ah the Hotentot Club.

Rush: Yes!

Mike n Rachel in DC: I bet Lee will run a couple of towels down to the FexEd store…

Nothere: Lon Chaney is typing up the latest news from Translyvania.

Rush: Indeed!

Mike n Rachel in DC: lol @ NT

Mike n Rachel in DC: Master. I type news.

Nothere: Good Igor. The presses their alive. ALIVE!

Mike n Rachel in DC: Yes, Master.

Cdirus: oops

Mike n Rachel in DC: Better than Charlie’s inkblot demo…

Rush: “Thank you so much.”

Nothere: Charlie is a big spender.

Rush: $20….about $300 today…

Dona: He still gets alloance?

Mike n Rachel in DC: Must have got paid plenty for that race track case.

Rush: Seems so!

Rush: Yes, Mike!

Rush: Oh, and, “Hello” to rachel, please…!

Louise: Oy, that jacket.

Mike n Rachel in DC: Dona…in 1937 most people’s jobs didn’t pay as well as Lee’s allowance…

fredsmom: beautiful fur

Nothere: He’s a college boy in the 30’s. Course after competeing in the Olympics you ‘d think hed have a sports deal.

Mike n Rachel in DC: Speedo endorsement?

Rush: A massive fur collection throughout the series.

Nothere: In the 30’s? Oh boy the smut laws would love that.

Rush: I think the town showed HIM.

fredsmom: lol at NT

Dona: lots of shady people hanging around

Rush: Where did Lee find the cab fare?

Nothere: Candid camera night. Or as we call it today Tuesday.

Rush

Phil and Mrs Phil: Mrs Phil points out how is Lee going to pay for cab when he has no money?

Louise: If one more person says “Hottentot Club”…

Nothere: Well h did have a dollar.

Phil and Mrs Phil: This is Perv Central

fredsmom: Love the pic!

Mike n Rachel in DC: Yes Phil…this is a little creepy

Rush: Hottentot – (1) A Khoikhoin. (2) Any of the Khoisan languages spoken by the pastoral people of Namibia and South Africa.

Dona: Yes phil

Mike n Rachel in DC: Ah…was about to ask what a Hottentot really was

Nothere: Ooh hw exotic.

Rush: I guess the cabbie won’t get much of a tip, then!

Rush: Yes!

Mike n Rachel in DC: So what does any of this have to do with Africa? Are we missing something?

Rush: Just the exotic name, i suppose….

Nothere: It has everything t do with Africa. See the sign authentic décor. youdon’t believe it? Google it. Oh right the 30’s you can’t. 🙂

Rush: 🙂

Mike n Rachel in DC: authentic African dance no doubt

Phil and Mrs Phil: Ah Consuelo you make my blood boil.

fredsmom: Love the art deco decor

Rush: Marie Collins…

Rush: I do, too, FM.

Rush: Lee’s “second-story” work….

Nothere: No Lee you can’t lock her in a cage either.

Rush: 🙂

Phil and Mrs Phil: lol nt

Dona: She isn’t much of a dancer

Rush: Tashia Mori: Ling Tse

Phil and Mrs Phil: I was wondering if they hired a choreographer for these scenes.

Mike n Rachel in DC: Depends on which part of the “dancing” you’re watching, Dona. 😉

Rush: Yes.

Dona: LOL MnR

Dona: Milk

Rush: (Applause…)

Matt1: In a dirty glass

Mike n Rachel in DC: *applause*

Nothere: Moran’s order make seem weak for a dangerous New York gangster. But he’s getting that milk in a dirty glass.

Nothere: See Matt’s right.

Matt1

Rush: (cough)

hounder: ..

Phil and Mrs Phil: Oh oh.

Mike n Rachel in DC: That can’t be good…

Phil and Mrs Phil: Cue the can

Matt1<tin can>

Rush: CHARLIE CHAN’S BANQUET SPEECH:

“Police in New York and Honolulu have one thing in common – both live on very small island. But, while we have big volcano, you have biggest ‘shake-up.’ Someday hope to greet honorable brothers in Hawaii, where roar of surf replace noise of subway, and hot rhythm of Broadway cooled by strains of ‘Aloha.'”

Mike n Rachel in DC: R.I.P. Billie

Rush: TYSM…Matt…

Nothere: So the guest of honor at the policeman’s dinner son is arrested for murder. Uhm that might be bad.

Phil and Mrs Phil: Fast Matt. Really fast.

Rush: How Alan Funt got his start…

Nothere: But only when it’s least expected.

Mike n Rachel in DC: OK. What is the over/under on the number of women’s legs in the photos they’re about to develop?

Nothere: Oh the number is efinitly over.

Rush:
any, many….MANY….

hounder: lol @mnr

Phil and Mrs Phil: It’s about time for the lights to go out.

Rush: Yes….

Nothere: Nobody move.

Rush: Chan should order no one near ANY light switch!

Mike n Rachel in DC: Is this another of those rooms with 17 light switches?

Rush: Probably!

Phil and Mrs Phil: lol m&r

Nothere: Only five. But three are in weird places.

Mike n Rachel in DC: Can you imagine the building codes for those buildings?

Nothere: Course non beat that room I think Wax Museum? Where the light was in a case.

Rush: HM.

Phil and Mrs Phil: How did the photo get developed so quickly?

Rush: I guess Speed plans on taking the dog for a walk.

Nothere: Are you kidding. With all those cameras they were going to develop?

Louise: Portable darkroom?

Rush: maybe a darkroom is part of the deal.

Nothere: There go the lights. Quick grab the diamonds.

Mike n Rachel in DC: Lights!

Louise: LIGHTS!

Phil and Mrs Phil: BOOMO out go the lights

Rush: Lights out!

Rush: Interesting!

Phil and Mrs Phil: He did die young and in his 50s. He died in surgery for another condition.

Mike n Rachel in DC: Huber did great character acting

Nothere: Now getting the paper out is the tricky bit. Fortunatly for Speed Lon works late at night.

Rush: Unexpectedly changed out of our earshot!

Mike n Rachel in DC: Yeah, NT, but you have to get him out of that damn bell tower.

Phil and Mrs Phil: I guess you could say I’m a Huber groupie.

Phil and Mrs Phil: WE ALL wash our hands A LOT these days.

Rush: YES!

Mike n Rachel in DC: He was ahead of his time, Phil!

Dona: yes mine are raw from washing

Hawaii_Steve: Good thing. There are virus cases discovered on P.H. All P.H. attractions are shut down.

Rush: Oh~!

Dona: Hopefully not much longer Steve

Rush: Yes.

Rush: I think that most areas will see a downturn in the virus faster than most believe.

Dona: I have to be optimistic

Hawaii_Steve: Many people in Hawaii are out of work. Unemployment numbers have skyrocketed here.

Dona: I agree Rush

Rush: Here, too.

Dona: So much tourism.

Rush: EVERYWHERE.

Dona: Yes

Hawaii_Steve: Like time square, Waikiki is a ghost tour.

Rush: The sooner this thing ends, the better for the return of jobs!

Rush: Yes, steve.

Dona: I agree

Dona: We need to open up businesses again.

Rush: And, the stock market is like a yo-yo.

Hawaii_Steve: Glad to hear that a few people are working via the internet. Very interesting times.

Hawaii_Steve: In Hawaii, I stopped driving my car. Just walk to work.

Hawaii_Steve: Dona, have you always lived in California?

Rush: I am SO happy that you were able to move to Kailua.

Dona: I lived a few years in Colorado but born and raised here.

Rush: As Lee called it: “The other side of the Island.”

Dona: I grew up in Lompoc

Dona: central california

Rush: Yes!

Hawaii_Steve: Thank you Rush. After 7-1/2 years living in Chinatown, Kailua is a blessing.

Rush: My sister was in the bikini conest once on the show.

Rush: Oh, my, Steve!

Hawaii_Steve: cerfew, that is.

Dona: I don’t know that show Rush.

Rush: I would think that if one kept that 6-foot separation, that should not be a problem!

Dona: I agree

Rush: Really, I think that people NEED to get out on occasion!

Rush: If even to get some sun.

Dona: I think we just need to get back to it

Rush: Yes.

Hawaii_Steve: From 1979 to 1994, I lived in Santa Monica. During my time, the 4th Street Mall was remodeled.

Rush: Yes, Santa Monica went through changes…like every other place in L.A.!

Rush: I spent part of my youth in Northridge.

Dona: I don’t know that part of Southern California very well.

Rush: We moved back to san Diego when I graduated high school, and my sister finished jr. high.

Rush: In the San fernando Valley.

Hawaii_Steve: A neighbor is coming over now. Just got a call. Gotta go. Take care of yourselves. And Aloha. Steve

Dona: I had family there when i was a kid. all have moved now

Rush: Actually, not too far from where some scenes from “The Feathered Serpent” were probavbly shot.

Rush: The outdoor scenes.

Hawaii_Steve: Or … keep talking. I may be back.

Dona: Bye Steve

Dona: One of my favorites

Rush: No pun intended, but please tell Dolly…”Hello!”

Hawaii_Steve: The organist is, or was, Bill Field. A friend of mine. Don’t know if he’s still alive or not.

Dona: LOL

Dona: Nice

Rush: So, his middle name is a “C” name?

Hawaii_Steve: People would give him all kinds of crap because he was calling himself W. C. Field. But that was his name.

Rush: Well…I suppose his parents “tributed” him!

Hawaii_Steve: Yes. Bill C. Field is his real name.

Rush: That’s a good story!
