I don’t know about you, but it’s very strange to talk to non-education people about time in the year. For most people, one month is about the same as the next at work.

Agreed about summer. And to a teacher, “July” has a very relaxed sound to it, whereas “March” tends to get the heart racing…

My mom’s family was very large (14 children), so our family gatherings were always mob scenes–but there were always some aunts, uncles or cousins who were missing.
Grandma would always say: “Well, the important people are here.” She was a wise woman.
