01-15 19:17
Hawaii_Steve:
Kailua Beach. Shelia Fane (Dorothy Revier) approaches a Hawaiian beach boy (Melvin Paoa).
In the background are the Mokulua Islands.
The Hawaiian beach boy is played by Melvin Paoa, not Duke Kahanamoku, as some sources state. Born on April 26, 1914 in Waikiki. At the time of the filming, Melvin was 16, almost 17 years old. He was just a kid.

01-15 19:17
Godwinshelley:
Didn’t we do this film late into last year – maybe Halloween?

01-15 19:17

01-15 19:23
Godwinshelley:
Yes – it is a bit eerie

01-15 19:23

From 100 years in the past the hand of fate reaches out.

Hawaii_Steve:
Yes, GS. Very romantic scene.

01-15 19:26

Maui, Oahu, Kuwai, Hawaii

01-15 19:29
Hawaii_Steve:
The Halekulani Hote.

01-15 19:29

01-15 19:30

Oh – that’s right Steve – We stopped by the restaurant in that hotel when we were looking around

01-15 19:30
Mike n Rachel in DC:
Rachel has been to Hawaii…liked the big island the best.

01-15 19:30
Hawaii_Steve:
Today, at the Halekulani, there is restaurant called, House Without a Key, in honor of Biggers.
