Rush:

Hello, Ziah!

05-13 18:30

Ziah:

Evening Rush!

05-13 18:30

Rush:

Good morning and evening to you!

How was youir week?

05-13 18:31

Ziah:

Thanks.  I have a busy timetable today, but will stay for as long as I can.

05-13 18:31

Rush:

Thank you.

05-13 18:31

Ziah:

This week was a good one thanks.  My exam classes are on study leave now, so school is generally a bit quieter.

05-13 18:31

Rush:

Good to have you with us as always…and for as long as your scedule allows!

05-13 18:31

Ziah:

How was your week?

05-13 18:32

Rush:

My week was nice.  We are approaching the end of the school year here.

05-13 18:32

Rush:

Both students and teachers are ready for a nice long summer break!

05-13 18:33

Ziah:

Absolutely!  What age group do you teach?  It’s 11 to 18 yr olds where I am.

05-13 18:34

Rush:

I am actually a paraeducator now and am helping students who have special needs.

Elementary school age…grades K to 5.

05-13 18:34

Ziah:

Wow, that must be tough but I imagine very rewarding.

05-13 18:34

Rush:

It is rewarding to know that I am doing what I can to help, yes.

05-13 18:35

Rush:

I used to be a special education teacher in the past.

I say that it is easier to take orders than to give them!

05-13 18:36

Ziah:

So true!

I’m sure your pupils really appreciate you.

05-13 18:36

Rush:

I can go home after the school day with no take home work!

i think that many do, yes.

They show it in different ways.

05-13 18:37

Ziah:

As a music teacher, no homework is usually true for me too   It’s nice teaching a more practical subject.  I was in teaching English as a foreign language in the past.

05-13 18:38

Rush:

Nice.

Teaching an art is wonderful!

05-13 18:38

Ziah:

Yes, I’m lucky!

05-13 18:38

Rush:

Actually, my college degrees are in art.

05-13 18:38

Ziah:

What kind?

05-13 18:38

Rush:

Visual art.

Drawing/painting.

05-13 18:39

Ziah:

Interesting!

05-13 18:39

Rush:

I am not too active literally in that way anymore…but it certainly carries over into most aspects of my life.

05-13 18:39

Ziah:

Yes, that’s the wonderful thing about all forms of art I think.

05-13 18:40

Rush:

True!

05-13 18:40

Ziah:

Are we expecting Matt to be able to call in today?

05-13 18:40

MIke n Rachel in DC:

Good evening!

05-13 18:41

Rush:

One of my favorite early teachers said something to the effect that onece you seriously study art, you will not see the world the same again!

She was definitely right!

05-13 18:41

Ziah:

Hello Mike and Rachel!

05-13 18:41

Rush:

Good evening Mike AND Rachel!!!

05-13 18:41

05-13 20:38

TYSM, Steve!

I wanted to note that Al Kikume was also in this one…

05-13 20:38

Hawaii_Steve:

It’s hard to believe that there are too many people who are alive today from the 1930s.  All dead.

05-13 20:38

05-13 20:42

IMDb credits Harry Owens at the orchestra leader.  That is in correct.  Mr. Owens was signed with Universal.

05-13 20:42

Hawaii_Steve:

Rush, true.

05-13 20:42

Rush:

Could he have been “on loan”?

05-13 20:43

I’ll have to go back and look again at Hawaiian music section.

05-13 20:44

Rush:

Okay.  Please let me know what you find.

I should be going…sorry!

8:44 here…

05-13 20:44

Hawaii_Steve:

On December 28, 2006, I began making contributions to the site by adding names and release dates. On several occasions, I have corrected release dates of films and television programs. A few of these programs I was personally involved in.  As of this date, I have made 347 contributions to IMDb.

05-13 20:45

Rush:

WOW!!!

05-13 20:45

Hawaii_Steve:

Have you got time while I check the YouTube click. I’ll do it now.

05-13 20:45

05-13 20:53

05-13 20:53

Hawaii_Steve:

The orchestra leader at the end stage performance is NOT Harry Ownens.

05-13 20:53

Rush:

Okay.

Do you have an idea as to whom he may be?

05-13 20:54

Rush:

Do you see enough of a clear shot of him?

05-13 20:54

Hawaii_Steve:

The hairline is different.

05-13 20:54

Rush:

AH!

05-13 20:57

Hawaii_Steve:

There is a close up of the orchestra leader.  It is NOT Harry Ownens.

05-13 20:57

Rush:

Okay.

I am looking at a book…

05-13 20:58

Hawaii_Steve:

In 1939, Harry Owens was big time.  Two years earlier, he won the Oscar for Sweet Lelani.  The man in the film is not Harry Owens.

There are so many mistakes on IMDb.

05-13 20:59

Rush:

Very good!  Another contribution you can now make!

05-13 20:59

Hawaii_Steve:

i’m look at Berlin’s book too.

I didn’t see him listed in that book just now.
